Cost Audits
As part of our cost auditing services to insurance companies, we assess the reasonableness and necessity of investigation and cleanup expenses. We often categorize past and estimated future environmental response costs as investigation (defense), cleanup (indemnity), or other non-covered costs based on regulatory requirements. We also estimate future costs in order to support insurance companies with forecasting reserves and to inform potential cash-out settlement of claims.
