Farallon conducted multiple Phase I ESAs for the City of Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department in support of possible property purchases for future development as public parks. Properties included rural and undeveloped land in Whatcom County and a waterfront property in Bellingham's Fairhaven district. The ESAs were conducted in accordance with ASTM International Standard E1527-05, Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments. When requested by the City of Bellingham, Farallon conducted the ESAs on an accelerated turnaround basis to accommodate schedule provisions of the purchase and sales agreements. Based in part on the outcome of the ESA findings, several of the properties were purchased as set-asides for future parks.
