Mr. Thaddeus (Tad) Cline, P.E., L.G., L.H.G., has been promoted to Principal Civil Engineer/Hydrogeologist.  Tad’s 20 years of industry experience includes project/program management, environmental engineering, hydrogeology, environmental chemistry, and stormwater discharge compliance.  He has conducted and managed technical projects involving environmental remedial investigations/feasibility studies, hydrogeologic site assessment, contaminant hydrology, Brownfield redevelopment, water resources, and geotechnical assessments.  Additional roles for Tad include Technology Group Manager, and Director of Farallon’s Data Management Team.  Tad recently implemented a new corporate data management system that is the central technical data repository for all Farallon offices.

Farallon Principal Engineer Jeff Hamlin has collaborated with Tad on several projects and commented on his impact:  “Tad brings a unique and valuable set of skills to Farallon, both in his well-developed experience as a Hydrogeologist and Engineer, and as a professional consultant.  I am impressed with his project management capabilities, eye for detail, and communication skills, and his foresight and persistence in developing our data management system.  I value his input on the aspects of technical projects, and on Farallon operations and strategy-planning concerns.”

Tad recently provided environmental engineering design and construction support for a combined sewer overflow construction project for a Washington municipality, managed the remedial investigation of a closed Seattle landfill being conducted under an Agreed Order with the Washington State Department of Ecology and for which Tad is currently managing remedial construction of a landfill gas control system , and conducted sediment characterization at a Puget Sound harbor.  Additional project work entailed an alternatives evaluation and environmental engineering for stormwater system corrective action at industrial properties where stormwater exceeded National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System benchmarks.

Farallon Co-Founder and Principal Hydrogeologist Cliff Schmitt remarked, “Tad has taken lead responsibility for several complex projects over the past 5 years.  For each of these important projects, he skillfully navigated through the various technical, regulatory, and business considerations.  Tad has been instrumental in our multi-year effort to successfully upgrade Farallon’s technical data management and reporting capabilities.  Tad is managing both Farallon’s Seattle office and the Data Management/GIS Group during this period of anticipated strong growth.  Tad’s promotion to Principal acknowledges his various contributions to Farallon.”
