Farallon celebrates its 25th anniversary as a leading environmental consulting firm

Founded on a vision of world-class expertise, Farallon has grown to over 110 employees in seven offices on the West Coast. Farallon’s founders opened the firm’s doors in 1998 to provide due diligence, site characterization, and remediation services using creative, forward-thinking solutions.

Today, we continue to abide by these principles as we adapt to an ever-evolving industry and complex environmental challenges. Our environmental and engineering services have expanded and evolved, too, and include stormwater and regulatory compliance, air emissions and permitting support, engineering, sediments, mediation and litigation support, and insurance claim evaluation. We remain at the forefront of change in the industry, with involvement in per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances and other emerging contaminants, ASTM International Standards revisions, evaluation of climate resiliency on the West Coast, and more.

“I started with Farallon 23 years ago in Washington. Our reputation for exceptional
technical work has been instrumental in our success. As we move into the next 25 years,
this foundation will carry us forward and has positioned our firm for continued growth and success,”
said Principal Geologist Riley Conkin.

As we enter our second quarter-century in consulting, and our sixth year as a 100-percent employee-owned company, we will continue to exemplify our company values of being responsive, trustworthy, strategic, collaborative, solution-focused, and flexible. Our goal is to make our 25th anniversary year a milestone to remember, and one that celebrates not only our company, clients, and employee-owners, but also the core values on which the firm was founded and on which the firm continues to thrive, both now and in the future.

“Having joined Farallon in 2001, I’ve been able to experience the care and attention that Farallon
gives to the development of our staff and the nurturing of our company culture for many, many years,”
said Associate Geologist Tracey Mulhern.
“We’ve built something really special, and it’s an honor to be part of this team.”

We have a number of activities and special events planned through the end of 2023. We look forward to celebrating our silver anniversary with all our clients, colleagues, family, and friends.
