Mr. Buer is a Licensed Geologist and Hydrogeologist with 14 years of experience in the field of geology, including a wide range of environmental assessment, remediation, and litigation projects. Mr. Buer has conducted site characterization, hydrogeologic assessment, environmental monitoring, fate and transport analysis, environmental remediation, and technical review of regulatory documents on projects under the requirements of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act; National Environmental Policy Act; and Washington State Model Toxics Control Act Cleanup Regulations. His project experience includes scoping and management of large characterization and cleanup projects, regulatory interaction and negotiation, and litigation support. Mr. Buer has worked on a variety of projects characterizing and evaluating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) releases to soil and groundwater; evaluating potential PFAS sources using principal component analysis and other approaches; and evaluating potential remedial alternatives for PFAS-contaminated media.

Fun Facts

Eric enjoys thinking about the hydrologic cycle in Washington State and likes to spend his free time examining the various phases of water up close through whitewater kayaking, backcountry skiing, and alpine mountaineering. He is working on completing self-supported trips through all the U.S. Wild and Scenic Rivers west of the Mississippi.
