Sarah translates the complex regulatory world into ideas and concepts that clients can implement in their business. In her 15 years of experience as a chemical and environmental engineer and compliance specialist, she has managed the implementation of comprehensive multi-program compliance plans and has served clients as a regulatory liaison with federal, state, and local environmental agencies. Sarah has directed client compliance activities under complex regulatory programs, including activities involving solid waste; hazardous waste; air; stormwater; industrial wastewater and pretreatment; aboveground and underground storage tanks; underground injection control; the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act; and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans. Sarah also has experience as the “regulated party,” providing in-house environmental management in a manufacturing setting. Sarah takes a collaborative approach with clients, determining unique, cost-effective strategies based on their needs.
Sarah and her young family love their Portland neighborhood and spend most of their off hours getting to know their neighbors. On any given weekend, you’ll find them collaborating on house projects, hanging out in the park, or sharing a meal together. Sarah enjoys cooking from scratch and crafting, and has the typical engineer’s weakness of thinking, “Hey, I could do that!” So chances are, if you receive a gift from her, it will be home-cooked or handmade.
