Bio
Amber has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors Environmental Studies from the University of Washington Program on the Environment, with an emphasis in stormwater compliance and wastewater treatment operations. She has experience in conducting inspections at numerous railroad facilities to ensure compliance with site-specific Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans. Amber leads the operation and maintenance of an industrial wastewater treatment plant to ensure industrial wastewater discharge permit compliance, identify opportunities to improve operation efficiency, and maintain safe work practices.
Fun Facts
Amber and her husband, Andrew, enjoy attending Seattle Sounders soccer games, skiing, and hiking with their 4-year-old golden retriever, Ozzie, and 3-year-old Siberian Husky, Ripley. Amber is also a Seattle-based photographer specializing in portraits and outdoor scenes. As a collegiate volleyball player, Amber achieved national ranking, and was selected Most Valuable Player of the National Collegiate Athletic Association West Coast Region. She continues to hone her skills in the sport via year-round indoor beach volleyball.
