Farallon Welcomes Principal Dan Capozzola and Senior Geologist Catherine Rhode

Farallon recently welcomed Principal Dan Capozzola and Senior Geologist Catherine Rhode to its Bend, Oregon office.

Dan CapozzolaDan brings 29 years of experience as a Principal Environmental Scientist and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, with an emphasis in Environmental Studies and Urban Planning. He has extensive experience implementing innovative strategies in environmental consulting and Brownfield redevelopment. He has built a unique skill set based on hands-on fieldwork, outside-the-box problem solving, and regulatory negotiation marathons involving city, state, federal, tribal, and provincial governments. Dan specializes in providing interpretation of the work of highly technical engineers, geologists, and scientists for results-focused banking, development, and legal clients.

Catherine joins us with 29 years of experience in the environmental consulting field as a licensed Geologist in Oregon, Washington, and California.   Catherine holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Her wide range of experience includes performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Transaction Screens following ASTM standards, contaminated site investigation and remediation, risk-based closure analysis, landfill monitoring, regulatory compliance, regulatory negotiation, chemical fate and transport, computer modeling of groundwater systems, wetlands stability, stream surveys, water budgets, and assessment of cumulative watershed effects.
