Regulatory Compliance and Permitting Assistance

Farallon has a thorough understanding of the federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements that must be met for successful business operation. To help business- and land‑owner clients protect assets, Farallon conducts regulatory compliance audits at tenant facilities where noncompliant operations might decrease property value. Alternatively, high-level reviews of operations at industrial and commercial sites may be conducted through a Limited Environmental Compliance Assessment (LECA). LECAs evaluate the potential for current or future non-compliance and assist current or future owners in understanding their potential business risk related to operations. Compliance reviews of client facilities have reduced the risk of regulatory fines, mitigated the risk of releases of contaminants to the environment, improved worker safety, and improved the client's reputation with regulators.

Farallon not only assists clients in obtaining environmental permits required for business operation, they walk with clients and assist with day-to-day compliance with regulatory requirements. Farallon works collaboratively with clients to determine cost-effective methods for complying with often complex or vague industry requirements. Farallon has also provided dispute resolution support if compliance is debated with the regulatory agency, including conducting sampling, preparing for and leading administrative reviews, supporting legal counsel, or developing compliance plans.
