Farallon is proud to announce that Mr. Jeffrey Kaspar, L.G., L.H.G., has been promoted to Principal Geologist. Jeff has worked in the environmental consulting industry for over 24 years, and has been an integral part of the Farallon team for the past 14 years. During that time, Jeff has served as Project Manager and technical lead for a wide range of projects involving remedial investigations, feasibility studies, cleanup actions, insurance claim evaluations, and litigation support for clients in both the private and public sectors. Farallon Principal Jerry Portele commented, “Jeff is a technical leader and an adamant promoter of Farallon’s core values. He has made significant contributions to Farallon’s success since joining the firm in 2001.” Jeff’s contributions to the firm have included managing the Geology Group and the Website Committee, and serving as lead developer of Farallon standard operating procedures for field activities and training resources for field staff and Project Managers. Jeff also is an avid supporter of Farallon’s corporate value encouraging community service, and seldom misses an opportunity to participate in Farallon- and client-sponsored community service events.
Cliff Schmitt, Farallon Co-Founder and Principal Hydrogeologist, recalls Jeff’s joining the firm shortly after its start-up in the late 1990s, and reflected on Jeff’s contributions over the years: “He has provided leadership in developing the firm’s standard practices for project management and field activities, and preparation of Farallon’s Project Management Manual. Jeff also manages the Geology Group, and is the senior technical resource for monitored natural attenuation and vapor intrusion issues. As such, Jeff has been a long-term asset to Farallon’s stability and growth. In acknowledgement of his contributions to the firm, Jeff was invited to become a Member (equity owner) of the firm in 2008.”
Jeff noted, “When I first came on board back in 2001, I knew this consulting firm was unique and full of opportunities. Farallon has always been a refreshingly avant-garde place to work, adamantly supporting its clients, staff, and the community—qualities resonating with my own core values. I take great pride in being a Member—and now a Principal—at Farallon and will continue to do everything I can to support clients and my co-workers.”
