Farallon Office Administrator Ms. Beth Roberts has been recognized by United Way of King County for her efforts in coordinating Farallon’s 2011 giving campaign with a nomination for the Campaign Coordinator of the Year Award. This award acknowledges outstanding individual employees who coordinate a workplace United Way campaign.
Beth was instrumental in launching Farallon’s inaugural United Way Giving Campaign in 2010, when the firm exceeded its participation goal and was nominated for a United Way of King County 2011 Spirit of Caring Award in the Best New Campaign category. In coordinating the firm’s campaign again in 2011, Beth spearheaded a series of new fundraising activities and volunteer opportunities in support of United Way. She organized the firm’s first silent auction and orchestrated a Farallon-sponsored raffle to supplement the monetary pledges to United Way submitted by employees. Beth also arranged a noon gathering of Farallon staff to prepare and deliver 100 holiday gift bags for people experiencing homelessness, and coordinated an evening of volunteering at the Eastside Baby Corner that involved Farallon staff and their families. But volunteer events don’t end with the close of the campaign—Beth organizes opportunities throughout the year to meet the firm’s stated Corporate value of actively supporting the local community.
Congratulations, Beth, on this well-deserved recognition!
