Mr. Cline is a Civil Engineer/Hydrogeologist with 20 years of experience conducting and managing technical projects involving hydrogeologic site assessment, contaminant hydrology, environmental RI/FSs, water resources, geotechnical assessments, and environmental data systems.  Current work entails management of RI/FS projects in Seattle, including supporting Brownfield redevelopment of a former landfill that involves multiple potentially liable persons working under an Agreed Order with Ecology.  Mr. Cline also is involved in restoring a property in a mixed-use area with soil and groundwater impacted by a release of chlorinated solvents from former dry cleaner operations.  He has led stormwater discharge compliance projects at construction sites and the design of stormwater detention and retention systems in Washington State.  Mr. Cline’s specialty areas include project/program management, hydrogeology, environmental chemistry, environmental engineering, and compliance with stormwater discharge regulations.

Mr. Cline began his career by raising pigs and sheep on a Lopez Island farm, supplementing his income with work in commercial salmon gillnetting, haying, aquaculture, and construction.  At the age of 10, he won the Guam 420 sailing fleet championships with his dad; he bought his first sailboat at age 14.  His career really took off with positions involving bicycling and sailing, nearly ending in a shipwreck in the equatorial Pacific.  Since comfortably retiring about 20 years ago, Mr. Cline has been involved in a wide variety of environmental consulting projects, which he enjoys to no end.  His free time is spent following passions in the outdoors with his two teenage children, including exploring the mountains, skiing, and racing a sailing catamaran.
