Ms. Darnell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and has 14 years of experience as an environmental engineer. Her professional experience includes project management at sites regulated under CERCLA, RCRA, and MTCA, and environmental investigations and contaminant remediation at military reservations, commercial and industrial facilities, and abandoned hazardous waste sites. Ms. Darnell has extensive experience in project plan preparation, environmental sampling, data compilation and interpretation, project reporting, compliance audits, litigation support, emergency remedial actions, environmental due diligence, closure designs for sanitary and hazardous waste landfills, and general civil engineering design. She has worked with private, commercial, and industrial clients and federal and state governmental agencies. As a Project Scientist with Farallon, Ms. Darnell manages the scope, budget, schedule, and project team for projects involving site characterizations, remedial investigations, and cleanup actions across the Pacific Northwest.
Ms. Darnell is a dog enthusiast who often brings Murphy, her wire fox terrier, with her to work at Farallon. Outside the office, Ms. Darnell welcomes the challenge of solving daily Sudoku, KenKen, crossword, and jigsaw puzzles. She is an armchair traveler with a zeal for true-life adventure stories who is waiting for her children to graduate from college before she plans an expedition into the heart of darkness.
