Professional Presentations and Brown-Bag Workshops
Farallon Co-Founder and Principal Peter Jewett is a Seminar Group faculty member for the Washington Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Bootcamp. As a regular speaker at this annual event, Peter has the opportunity to relate fundamental aspects of Environmental Law to leading Washington State attorneys.
Farallon staff also offer workshops addressing current industry practices and trends, presented in a casual brown-bag lunch setting. Workshop topics available for scheduling include:
Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
This presentation explains the purpose and objectives of a Phase I ESA; the typical scope of work, time frame, and cost; “business risk” non-scope issues; and the contents of the report prepared. A discussion of Phase II investigations is included to describe the process for evaluating contamination if a recognized environmental condition is identified during a Phase I ESA.

Vapor Intrusion
With the increased attention recently given to vapor intrusion as an emerging environmental issue, Farallon has prepared a presentation defining and summarizing this topic. Specific issues addressed include the potential impacts of vapor intrusion on stakeholders, the complexities of evaluating vapor intrusion, mitigation options, and the current regulatory status of vapor intrusion.
