Mr. Ruark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and has 5 years of experience as a Staff Geologist. Specialized Geology coursework involved vadose zone research, scientific data collection methods, and development of scientific models, including groundwater-flow models. Professional experience encompasses soil and groundwater sampling and data collection, monitoring well installation, air sparge and ozone injection system support and maintenance, air sampling, historical data analysis, excavation activities, and report preparation for work sites throughout the state of Washington.
Mr. Ruark is an avid mountain biker and a repeat competitor in Washington State’s 24-hour bike race held annually in the Spokane area. This arduous event involves hundreds of solo and team riders pedaling around the clock to complete the most 15-mile laps. Mr. Ruark’s personal best is a 9-lap race. He also loves less-strenuous rides around the Issaquah area with his family and yellow lab. Mr. Ruark serves as Farallon’s in-house bike mechanic providing fellow employees with a quick bike fix to help keep them on the road.
