Mr. Peterson holds a Master of Science degree in Geology with specialized study in Northwest stratigraphy, and has 4 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. His extensive background in installation, operation, and maintenance of injection and extraction remediation systems includes ozone-AS/SVE. In his role as Project Geologist in Farallon’s Geology/Hydrogeology Group, Mr. Peterson conducts soil and groundwater sampling and creates detailed boring logs. He also provides project support for environmental site assessments and excavation oversight for removal of USTs and contaminated soil at properties across the state of Washington.
Mr. Peterson is a member of the Geological Society of America (GSA). His Western Washington University Master of Science Thesis on the Petrographic signature for the Whidbey Formation was presented at the 2007 GSA conference in Las Vegas, Nevada and has been referenced on three geological maps of the Whidbey Island, Washington area. Mr. Peterson and his wife have two young boys who love to go camping and attend Monster Truck shows. His hobbies include rock hounding, hiking, working on vintage cars, and fixing up their house.
