Mr. Conkin has 25 years of professional experience in the field of geology.  This experience includes 20 years in contaminant hydrogeology and evaluation of hydrogeologic systems in complex geologic environments.  Mr. Conkin has had extensive experience in characterizing the distribution of contaminants in soil vapor, soil, groundwater, and surface water for both private sector and municipal clients.  His project experience has included technical oversight for cleanup program management; project scope and objectives development; project plans preparation; field program management; data compilation and interpretation; regulatory negotiation; remedial alternative evaluation; and conceptual design.  He has provided technical services in support of mediation and litigation on numerous projects.  Mr. Conkin has provided technical support for a number of cost allocation projects with multiple responsible parties.  Mr. Conkin has experience in hard rock mining primarily focused on precious metals exploration in complex Precambrian greenstone belts in northern Canada.  His project experience is presented below.

Outside of work, Mr. Conkin enjoys numerous activities, including cycling, backcountry and downhill skiing, and sailing.  Mr. Conkin and his wife are avid supporters of the Bellevue lacrosse and soccer programs, and enjoy spending time watching their kids play these sports.  If you can’t reach him at his desk at lunchtime, Mr. Conkin and his colleagues probably are out exploring the single-track mountain bike trails on neighboring Tiger Mountain.
