Mr. Jewett is an Engineering Geologist with over 26 years of experience in engineering, environmental investigations, site remediation, and environmental compliance audits. He has extensive experience in providing technical support and management for identification and remediation of hazardous wastes, including remedial investigation and feasibility study; remediation design for soil, surface water, sediments, and groundwater cleanup; and remediation construction bid solicitation. Additional specialty areas entail Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and Phase II Subsurface Investigations, facility Environmental Compliance Audits, and construction management and remediation system installation. Mr. Jewett provides technical support for litigation and mediation, and has widespread experience in regulatory negotiations, evaluation and interpretation of regulations, and compliance auditing.
Mr. Jewett enjoys numerous interests, including back country and alpine skiing, white water rafting, fly fishing, mountain biking, and wilderness adventures. He is the Vice President of the board of directors for the Mount St. Helens Institute that promotes stewardship, science, and appreciation of volcanic landscapes of Mount St. Helens and the Pacific Northwest. He spends much of his free time at art galleries with his wife, who is an oil painter, and keeping track of his daughter at the University of Puget Sound and son at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
