Remedial Investigations & Feasibility Studies

Farallon has successfully assisted many of our clients that are in possession of contaminated properties complete remedial investigations.  Farallon’s remedial investigation efforts focus on  identifying a release scenario and timing; defining the lateral and vertical distribution of contaminants in the subsurface; identifying the affected media; defining potential exposure pathways; and identifying the subsurface characteristics that affect contaminant fate and transport.  Farallon’s remedial investigations have been used by our clients to meet regulatory compliance requirements, support litigation and cost recovery actions, assist in facilitating property transactions,  support insurance claims, and select technically feasible remedial alternatives.  Farallon has performed remedial investigations as independent actions and under regulatory orders/decrees.

Farallon has performed feasibility studies both in conjunction with or independent of our remedial investigations.  Farallon’s feasibility studies focus on evaluation and identification of technically feasible, cost effective remedial alternatives that can be completed within a reasonable timeframe and integrated with our client’s business goals.  Farallon’s feasibility studies have included both full investigations to evaluate a broad variety of potential remedial alternatives through bench-scale and field pilot studies to focused evaluations of select remedial alternatives.  Farallon’s feasibility studies have consistently met all regulatory requirements for evaluation and selection of an appropriate cleanup approach. Farallon’s clients have used these studies to support preparation of Cleanup Action Plans, facilitate property transfers, and support litigation.
