Volatile Organic Compound Monitoring

Volatile Organic Compound Monitoring
Patented Monitoring Probe

Monitor for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) beneath buildings for early spill detection using standard soil gas monitoring techniques and the patented Farallon VOC Monitoring Probe. The Farallon VOC Monitoring Probe is designed for installation in concrete foundation slabs to facilitate inexpensive routine soil gas sampling. The building structure confines vapors in soil that diffuse from spilled VOCs. Soil gas samples can be collected for laboratory analysis, or direct measurement of contaminants can be made using detector tubes.

  • Monitor soil gas beneath buildings
  • Minimize liability and remediation costs
  • Monitor tenants using VOCs
  • Prevent costly spread of contamination to soil and groundwater
  • Assess potential of contaminated vapor intrusion from beneath buildings
  • Soil gas monitoring conducted in accordance with ASTM Standard D5314-92 (reapproved 2001) Standard Guide for Soil Gas Monitoring in the Vadose Zone
